Dynamic reflective color pixels based on molybdenum oxide

Active materials which show phase transitions, usually known as Phase Change Materials (PCM), have paved the way to a new generation of reconfigurable plasmonic platforms. Tunable color devices experienced great development in recent years. In particular, reflective filters can take advantage from sunlight select and reflect specific resonant wavelength visible spectrum range. Reflective displays are structural based on asymmetric Fabry-Perot cavities (AFPCs). For fixed geometry, most AFPCs generate static color, limiting their potential tunable devices. Dynamic is achieved by introducing an active layer whose optical properties be modulated external stimuli. this paper, we propose molybdenum oxide (MoO x , 2< <3) achieve switchable / off pixels. On states pixels controlled through stoichiometry MoO layer.
